PacBay wrapper thread tensioner

Has anyone looked at/designed/fitted a thread tensioner to a PacBay wrapper similar to the Renzetti layout?

I did not make those that was a photo from the photo section of this site, credit should go to Chuck Mills. I have made them before for my Renzetti and Clemens lathes using stainless trolling wire, #15 I believe. If you are wrapping lighter rods than the saltwater rods I normally wrap you could use a lighter gauge wire.
