I am looking to build a 100lb Rail Rod (up to 50lb of drag) spiral wrapped. I was wondering what guides (no rollers) you would recommend? Re: Guides for Rail Rod

I've had great luck with the AmTack Virtus guides on spiral rods only slightly lighter than you're describing. They're lightweight, heavy duty, and look great. I'd have no fear usimg them on a 100lb rod. Re: Guides for Rail Rod

Chris,
You could also look at this: [alpsforecast.com] You could do the HXN if you want a ring. You ST, SU, as well. For no ring just straight carbide: ALPS CWB or the ForeCast HC and HCB will do great too! Good Luck!! Tight Lines! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/17/2014 03:44PM by Ryan McIntosh. Re: Guides for Rail Rod

If you can find some Fuji BLBLG's they would work. Super heavy duty single foot guides with a low profile. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
