HPS Lock Nut

Has anyone tried putting more rings on a Fuji HPS lock nut? I know that 4 will fit but there is more bit shank that a 5th ring might be supported by with a good glue up.

Can you cut the ring in half with a cork cutting jig? Or you could always order the cork made for it...FGH25C (for a 16), FGH27C (for a 17)

I usually use the one made for it. Have also used a 4" foregrip, bored out to fit. I tapered it so it looked pretty much like the factory cork, just a little longer.

To be honest, I have to look to which rod is which to tell the difference. Both work just fine.

IF you put an extra ring on it, it won't hurt. Bore the lower ones to fit the HPS nut body, then bore the extra one to fit the blank. It will work just fine.
