I am trying to find an equivalent blank to the GLOOMIS GLX crosscurrent blanks.
In 4 piece 8 or 9 and 12 weights. Its for more robust backup rods to sage Xi3's so i am not looking for lightest, I am looking for more durable. Must still be able to throw salt flys into a wind. Re: Equivalent blank to Loomis GLX Crosscurrent

Hi Lou,
Something in a RainShadow Fly blank would be the ETERNITY2 model. They are 4 piece models, available in 8wt, 9wt, 10wt. It is a very robust rod blank, that has a ton of back bone, but still easy to throw salt flys into the wind. It also has the newest technology available to date from us! Thanks Bill, looks like an Xi3 too so makes the backup role even better.
I will try out an 8 wt and see if it works out Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
