Hello, I'm new to this site and need some help. I have an old fenwick rod with the sections jammed together. We have tried twisting them heating them and even wd-40, but they won't move. Does anyone out there have any good ideas to get this thing apart? Thank you, Martin

Try packing the ferrule in ice for about 30 minutes. Usually works for me.

Ice is a good method and I'd try that before going further into anything that might damage the ferrule.

Don your wife's rubber dishwashing gloves and twist apart as usual.
You can also use the non-skid waffle weave stuff.
I carry two small pieces in my gear bag just incase in the field.
