G'Day Tristan I would doubt that they will ever be updated for a couple of reasons 1 is that the customer base is too small to warrant the time & 2 is the cost of updating the programs needed to write them. I hope that I am wrong .Why not drop David Boyle a message & ask the author at threadcentral

Hi Tristan,

Vizwrap will run on any Windows system with some tweaks. I offer assistance to do this.
Vizweave installs fine as-is, without tweaks.
No immediate plans to update or build a MAC version. I'd like to but the time required is something I don't have. And then there is the risk (likelihood) that once it's updated Microsoft will make changes to Windows again, requiring further software updates, etc.

I continue to support the software as a service to rod builders (have done this for 12 years now). I believe the software is a valuable tool, and without vizwrap your crosswrap software options are pretty limited! It's certainly not an economic decision to keep the software available. It would be great to see others rise to the challenge to fill this niche.

Cheers
Dave

Not to hijack, but along the same line---if you have Miceosoft Word for Apple, will the program run?

MS Word for Mac is running on the Mac OS, it's not an actual OS itself, so that doesn't change anything. There is a Windows emulator for the Mac that will run Windows based programs on the Mac OS however.

There is an inexpensive app called WinOnX that lets you run many Windows programs on a Mac. I know that some people use that to run vizwrap. There are other full-blown emulators available too however I haven't had any experience with them.

You can drop me an email if you'd like to go down that path, or need assistance installing onto Windows.

regards
Dave
