What thread is the perfect match for the blue green ot he St Croix Legend Elite LXS series of blanks?
It appears to be a shade of teal, or Jade or a similar color. When using a Non NCP thread, I would like the thread to virtually disappear on the rod. Thanks much Re: Thread match for St. Croix Legend Elite LXS series

If you want the thread to disappear on the rod I would choose a couple of colors that you think match very close.
Do a short test wrap with each color then wet it with a drop of water. This method has shown me what the final color will be (or close) once finish is applied without the use of color preserver. Hope this helps, as I don't know the exact color. Mike Doran Spring, Texas Re: Thread match for St. Croix Legend Elite LXS series

Mike,
Thanks for the update. That is exactly what I do, to determine the final thread color. Be safe Re: Thread match for St. Croix Legend Elite LXS series

A St. Croix representative said that they use color #272 (Blue Dun) with green metallic trim wraps. Re: Thread match for St. Croix Legend Elite LXS series

Mark,
Both Gudbrod, as well as Fish Hawk brand thread carry the blue green color that is marketed with number 272 and color name of Blue Dunn. For example: [www.fishhawkthreads.com] Re: Thread match for St. Croix Legend Elite LXS series
