Flippin/Punchin Rod

So I'm doing a Flippin & Punching rod. Using the American Tackle Bushido Flipping Stick. My only question of curiosity is what is the better choice in action? Fast or Moderate Fast? Other sources I've researched are somewhat split, so I'd just like some more opinions.

Thanks,
Cam

Cameron,

I personally would go with the fast action to move the fish quicker out of the slop.

That's what i was leaning to. Just wanted some outside opinion. Also, of the 2 models, the straight one piece is the Fast action. The Moderate Fast is a telescopic. Not a fan of that design.

Thanks

you will land more of the fish you move out of the slop with the moderate action

Well Don, looks like we're outnumbered... For the telescoping rod, where does it telescope? just the handle?

Thanks for all the input.

Fast punch rod = broken punch rod + lost fish

Long punch rod = moving fish fast from cover

I like the moderate for braid which is all I flip or punch with. If you are using heavy mono a faster action might work better. You can still have a H or XH power with a moderate action
