Swampland Tackle

I went to a fishing show here in Houston with one thing in mind. And that thing is that I wanted to see up close and personal the Microwave guide system. My old bud, Bill Stevens, took me aside and we casted a rod with that set-up. Bill sold me on a set of those guides for my next build. I also got an MHX SJ843 blank to put those guides on. My fishing buddy also bought a set for me to replace on a rod that I built for him years ago. I normally don't get carried away with new stuff but what the heck. Gotta try these. I also got to cast a TFO 8 weight. I am going to build one of those. Sweet rod. I think Mudhole carries that blank. I also bought an American Tackle reel seat. Hadn't tried one of those before and this one really felt good in the hand. We are so fortunate to have good products nowadays. Thanks Swampland for your sponsership of this site.

I just re-wrapped an old CTS blank w/ the mcrwv guides. Test casts in the bckyrd felt pretty darn good. Really want to see if it can help reduce wind knots w/ braid.
