Sabre rod blanks

I have 2 old sabre blanks, 67" 685 looks and feels like 50-80 lb. and a 62" 665-4 looks and feels like 130 lb class.
Both are the honey mustard color. Are these stand up tuna blanks as desireable now as they were back when.
They worked great and were solid strong hi performing blanks. They have to be 30 yrs old but in perfect condition.
Anyone have any info on these blanks and what they might be worth?
Thanks
Jan

They might be. When Penn bought Sabre, their quality really went down hill.

Good luck with the build!

Hi Jan,
I used to solely use "Australia Sabre blanks", then one day i got a sticker on one of them that was a Seeker sticker" then someone told me they are made by Calstar, (virtually the same blank codes and the identical honey colour.) theres no such thing as an Australia Sabre blank.) so i gave up totally using or even bothering to purchase them.............but original Sabre blanks do most certainly have a following over here. There was 3 Sabre glass blanks on @#$%& about 6 mths ago advertised as (50-80lb original Sabre Glass new blanks) here in Aust that sold for more than $AU170 each.......i know because that was my losing bid.)

hope that helps.

These were made in California and I remember seeing an ad with Jose building the blank. Sabre was Sabre no other afiliates at that time. Back then (late 70's) I had paid $100. ea for them.
