Epoxy / Decal question.

I just put the first coat of u 40 dura gloss LS on my rod. However I want to put a fish decal on it. If I let the epoxy dry enough to put the decal on it will no longer be tacky and if it is no longer tacky I cannot put the second coat of epoxy on. What do I do.

The epoxy doesn't need to be tacky for the second application to adhere well. But you should apply the decal and second application within no more than about 3 to 4 days from the first.
