The Flex Coat instructions for making the reverse spade bit borers would be your ticket. Those plans ran in a past issue of RodMaker, although I don't have my finger on it at the moment. I'm not sure if they sell them ready made or not.

Make sure those are the reverse spade bits and not the pilot bore bits.

Hello Tom

MudHole calls them"reverse pilot bits"(p/n: CPB-Size), the "Flex Coat Pilot Drill Bits" (p/n: PB-Size) are on the other side (r/h) of the page.
It says it's "Designed to bore out the inside of pre-shaped cork grips", I assumed it would work for EVA as well.

If I am mistaken please set me straight!?

Good Wraps

New Bern, NC.

No you're correct, thanks. I just didn't have time to go double check it.

They're extremely effective on cork, somewhat less on EVA, however, because the foam tends to give a bit. But they will work and are generally faster than reaming.

Hello Bucky

The article Tom was talking about in RM is about making your own bits using standard paddle bits and a belt sander, and is in RM 9-5 pg 18.

Good Wraps.
