Hypalon ?

Can you sand and shape Hyaplon like EVA, and is it as easy? I just ordered a Hyaplon rear seat grip and a butt, I never shaped this stiff yet, any info will be appreciated, Thank you. Re: Hypalon ?

Pretty much, yes. It's a bit softer yet tougher than most EVA.

I use a Stanley Sureform rasp to get the basic shape and the finish with dry wall sanding screen. You need an abrasive which clears quickly. This like sandpaper don't work as well in my exerience. Re: Hypalon ?

It shapes like EVA but it gums up sanding agents really quick. It really is a cool material, now if it just wasnt so heavy! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
