I'm looking for some winding checks like the checks Powell uses on their bass rods. I don't know if anyone here is familiar with their rods but the checks they use are a titanium color. Kind of a frosted grey. I've found the same checks at a few places but they only seem to come in colors or a bright polished aluminium color. Here's what they look like
[www.mudhole.com] Anyone know where I might get these in a titanium color? Thank you Re: Winding checks for bass rods

Batson makes a "titanium chrome" check that is greyish with a drilled effect ... AWCCO-TS in various sizes. IMO, they are nicer than the Powell checks, which are very plain. Other than that, you could buy pure aluminum checks and powder coat them yourself. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/19/2010 08:25PM by Jim Gamble. Re: Winding checks for bass rods
