I just got my Rainshadow blanks in the other day and have finally gotten around to spining them. I ordered the ISB781M and it has a very good feel. It's a fast action blank but feels like it has a very light and senstive tip. I think I'm gonna like it because I will try it out before I turn it over to the guy for whom I'm building it for. I also got the Rainshadow IF907 fly blank. This blank has an odd feel to it. I think it's the diameter of the butt and the weight of the ferrul but I really can't pinpoint it. I think I'm just used to my St. Croix of the same weight. It does seem like a very good quality blank and when I spined both pieces and put them together the whole rod spined well. Didn't have to offset the spines one bit. Lined up perfectly. Is this unusal because my St. Croix didn't spine that well? I think I'm gonna like this one as well becuase the flyrod is for me! Any feedback from those who have built on Rainshadows would be helpful for future projects. Thanks, Steve Re: RainShadow blanks

Steve, I have made a number of Rain Shadow rods including fly, spinning and casting and have found them to be very good especially when the cost is considered. These rods are very consist and I have found that the spines are well designed and function as they should. A good rod for the money. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
