There are a few option in the American Tackle ATX graphite range that may suit. I have pushed them pretty hard on decent fish and love em

G Loomis STEEL blanks are rated as fast, but closer to extra fast. They are available ONLY in 8'0" length and in line classes of 12-20#, 17-25# and 20-30#.

They are graphite blanks, but the fabric is heavy and so is the resin ... they are durable and responsive.

The Phenix blanks seem to have a VERY wide # range in a blank. Is that right?? 8 to 25 - 10 to 30?? That somehow doesn't sound right

How do the Loomis blanks rate in against the Calstar grafighters in terms of durability and lifting power? Thanks.

They are not anywhere near the same.

The Loomis blank is graphite and the Calstar series you mentioned is a composite (graphite and e-glass). The tapers are completely different as well.

Maybe everyone could be more assistive if you tell us specifically what you are looking to do with the blank.

Ahhh, my bad.
I am looking for a rod that will do several duties for fishing in SE Asia: 1) bait fishing for threadfin salmon, 2) casting light poppers and small metal slices, 3)a good beater stick for fishing the narow-barred Spanish Macks, 4) a live bait rod for fly-lining to dorado, 5) light jigging with metal jigs. I have a 6.5 footer doing all this for me now, but it's a little too short and getting very old and beat up from the Giant Trevally encounters(I need to learn to take the bait away!) Thanks for any help and advice and sorry for teh confusion!!!

Get with Todd Vivian at Mud Hole ... you could DEFINITELY use a Tri-Flex Graphite Inshore model. For something light ... TF90-15 and for something a bit heavier TXC92-1ML.
