My buddy want me to build him a 7'6" crappie rod. he wants it to be ultra lite or micro. I am having trouble finding a blank that length and size. He already has a cheep on that was purchased retail, so I'm sure they make a blank, but I can't seem to find one. Thanks for any advice.......................Eric

Fly rod blanks work well. The Forecast 4 wt is what I've built quite a few on.

Spencer is correct , if it must be that light. Personally I like a 7' Popping blank in a 2 power for Crappie.

I have a St Croix 3S76MLXF STC Walleye 7'6" 1pc 4-10lb. B0.42 T4 which I intend to build up as an ultralight. It is a beautiful blank with a fast action. Being an Australian, I am not familiar with "crappie" rods but, this blank is an awesome ultra light for flicking rubbers and light bait fishing.

Cheers
Chris

It's been said before but the Batson IP840 blank could be easily extended an additional 6 inches. It's a fun blank for me at its standard 7 feet but the crappies don't share my zeal for it when we place the better ones together in the livewell ;) Fun and interesting blank... Chuck Ungs
