1. Select the proper one - snug fit that will land properly with the selected rear grip length - do not use one that is oversize - you can easily ream one that is slightly undersize - do not ream one that has textured surface.
2. Prepare blank surface to waterbreak condition in sealing areas taking care to mask off the area that will be exposed so it is not scratched. The use of a grey scotch brite pad will work fine. Mark blank for belly down seat location with a small piece of masking tape about 1/2 way up blank. This will permit proper setting of seat for blank bend or curve. 3. Make cork bushing for rear large area of seat and fit up Flex Coat arbor for front of seat barrel. If the fit of arbor is very close you may find that pregluing of the arbor to barrel will allow final thinning and fit up of arbor. Use sandpaper or file to water break the inside of the seat assembly. 4. Place rear grip, trim rings, etc on blank. Liberally apply Rod Bond to Blank Surface and pull seat into place. Wipe off excess epoxy the squeezes out. Pull tight. Slide arbor down blank and apply Rod Bond to outside of arbor and push into gap. Install foregrip or winding check and pull into place. 5. Wipe off excess with paper towell. Do not use solvent to clean the window area. 6. Check rotation of seat with alignment mark on tape. Pull tight. Wipe - Wipe - Wipe - Buy some more paper towells and Wipe, Wipe -- 7. Verify alignment and place in horrizontal position with window up - wipe window - wait an hour and wipe again. If you are a fanatic for detail you can add some black pigment to the Rod Bond to insure that no white line will show at joints.
