rod repair

need some advice i have a rod that has a very small spot ( about 1/16 of an inch long ) where it looks like the start of a splinter between the tip & 1st guide what would be the best way repair this? do you think if i wrapped the section with size A thread then apply a coat of finnish would work or a thin coat of finnish than the thread than another coat of finnish thanks Re: rod repair

Mike is right. make the wrap frim but not so tight it could make the rod go out of round Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
