I am looking at getting into some SHIKARI blanks and really need some help. I am building only Freshwater Bass Rods and need the lightest blanks and best quality.
Here in Southern Cali, Shikari blanks is all most of the bass fishermen that know blanks talk about. I need some help with blanks for the following applications, both SHII and SHIII and if applicable in SHX: Drop-Shot Shakey Head Swimbait Flippin' Crankin' Pitchin' Spinnerbait Topwater Frog Fishing Thanks for all of your help. This is a really great place to get in touch with helpful rod builders willing to help some of us less knowing rodbuilders out. Tony Re: SHIKARI blank HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shikari was purchased by ATC (Advanced Tubular Composites) a few months back and there have been some changes. All of the Shikari mandrels are still in OK but I don't think any Shikari blanks are being made there at this time.

Tony,
Lots of info on shikari and other blanks in the search engine on the site. Just let your fingers do the walking. For instance, putting in drop shot blank I'm willing to bet that the fine SH II P 7000, SH III IP 7000, or SHX PP 7000 Shikaris mentioned. This type actioned blank can be also found in other company's blank lines. Re: SHIKARI blank HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Shikari going away for good? If so that's too bad. Nice blank for the $$. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
