I know I'm beating a dead horse here but what is the ideal decal material used for the ALPS MD 1000 printer? I just got an ALPS last week and am ready to start making some decals. I checked on some decal film at Bare Metal Foil Company and I don't really know if the paper or film they sell can be used in the ALPS printer. Thanks, Steve Re: Dead Horse named ALPS

Steve,When the alps was first talked about Tom K said something to the effect that what was needed was a perfect transfer material,to this day I don't think anyone has found a perfect paper, there are however a number of very good ones available. For water slide decals the walthers decal paper is the best I have found and at a fairly reasonable cost. Vinyls I think both Custom Tackle and the MudHole will sell blank sheets of the product they use for decals. If you are fortunate enough to live near a shop that makes bumper stickers you might try some of the thinner materials that they use,You will probably have to experiment to see which paper you prefer.
