I am getting ready to build a 12wt and would like to use alconite BLAG size 10 running guides (as a cost saving option), combined with SiC strippers (NSG) and tip top (MSG). I built many SW flyrods up to 10wt using TiCH wire SF, but would prefer Fuji's on a blank this heavy. I would appreciate your comments on performance of BLAG single foots and their weight (this is a fine tipped blank/ 4.5 tip). Thanks, V. Re: SF guide choices for 12wt

They're light as all heck and yet very strong. #10's sound good. That's what I use most of the time but I like the SIC version and use SVSG for strippers. I'm sure the Alconites will work fine though. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
