I have an old rod that has broken reel seat, and I'm having trouble removing it. What's the best way to remove it, Can someone help me?

Use a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel to cut a slot lengthwise down each side of the reel seat. Heat the reel seat with a blow-dryer to soften the epoxy and pry off the two pieces. You should be able to pop most of the epoxy off the blank with your fingernail and a little blow-dryer heat. Gently scrape off the rest with a single-edge razor blade held at 90 degrees to the blank

Depending what type of reelseat you have to remove. I use a torch on metal reelseats and a dremal cut off wheel on gpaphite.
When using heat I put a cold damp rag on the rod then heat the reelseat at same time I use channel lock grips to turn the reelseat as soon as the reelseat starts to slip I remove the heat. Make sure you heat the entire reelseat evenly.
