That might be stretching things a bit! I don't know what you could get in that price range

Try the Rainshadow 10 ft 5 wt blanks in the bargain basement section at the Bingham's Ent. site to the left. A beautifully built green blank within your budget.
All the best to you and yours.

Do you have to have a 10' blank? I built one on a 9' 4-8 lb Forecast steelhead blank (SH1081-2DB or SH1081-2CG) and would recommend it. In fact I took it fishing with a buddy and now I'm building him one (and 2 others--he's never buying another off the rack rod again!). And the price is reasonable. You should be able to get them for around $30-35 if you look around. I think Schneiders has the 2003 version (DB) for around $26.

All the tournament Crappie fishermen in Louisiana use a very rugged 10 footer called a Salter Jigging Pole. The blank for this thing costs less than $12.00. They are green and look a lot like Forecast. Don't build one of these on a high dollar blank because if you end up fishing like most you will jab the thing down in the water to get a $ 0.75 bait loose from undertater tree tops!

I'd like to learn more about the Salter Jigging Pole mentioned above. I couldn't find it in the Forecast catalog. Anyone got a location for it? I have a guy that might be interested in several crappie rods of this description if I can price them reasonably.

Salter's Jiggin Pole is the name of a rod created by a man named JB Salter. He is a guide near Baton Rouge, LA. His phone number is (225) 627-5151. I don't know what kind of blank is used to make the rods, but you might be able to get some information from him if you call him.
