My friend is interested in one of these blank that I have. I was wondering how much they are worth? This is not your regular black one. This blank is reddish brown color. I don't think they make these blanks in this color anymore. I think this blank is one of the earlier production one or the first batch. It's weird but the two blanks I have showed different line rating on the G Loomis sticker. One states that it's rated for 40-60 and the other states that it's rated for 60-80 with lure weight 8 plus? Thanks for any help, Tony Re: G Loomis Hybrid HB70XH

Tony, The 1988/89 G. Loomis blank catalog lists your blank as a 7 footer rated for 60 to 80 pound line and lure weights of 8+ ounces. It retailed for $120 those years. The butt and tip diameters those years were .800 and 14/64. It remained with the same listing for the '88 and '89 model year, but in '89/'90 it was refigured as a 40-60 lb model. The butt and tip diameters those years was .800 and 11/64. Obviously the model was changed slightly. You could likely measure the tip diameter and ascertain which model year yours is. It is not unusual for you to have gotten the '90 model with a holdover sticker from an earlier year, or vice versa. Tom Kirkman RodMaker Magazine ...................
